Ping! You’ve Got Mail…osaur.

Welcome to the very first edition of our monthly newsletter, where we’ll bring you the latest features, practical tips and answers to the questions you’re asking.

In this issue, we’re introducing our new AI integration and highlighting the latest improvements to email previews – including faster previews across devices and support for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max.

We’ve also got two great questions from the community: one from a developer and another from someone working in product.

So, without further ado, let’s get into it!

New & improved

Bring email testing into your AI workflow

As more businesses build AI into the way they work, email testing can become part of that workflow too.

Mailosaur now works directly inside AI tools like Claude and Codex. The AI driving your tests can check inboxes and inspect emails with simple commands, so there’s no custom integration to build.

Your AI assistant can write and debug tests, check inbox data, explain your Mailosaur account and suggest which inbox to use. All without switching between your code, your results and the Mailosaur UI.

This is now available on Core, Enterprise and Custom plans. If you’re on one of these plans, just enable AI (MCP) in Mailosaur to try it out now. It’s opt-in, so your customer data isn’t used by AI until you turn it on.

Real-device previews, now up to 2x faster

Email previews are now up to twice as fast on iPhone, iPad and Android devices, so there’s less waiting when checking how your emails render.

That’s especially good news if you send long campaign emails. The longer the email, the bigger the improvement. You can also preview much longer emails on mobile, so it’s easier to check your biggest campaigns in full.

And don’t forget – Mailosaur’s previews still run on real devices, not emulators, giving you an accurate view of how your emails will appear on the devices your customers use.

Already using email previews? Run a preview of your next long email and see the difference. If you’re new to previews, visit our email previews page to get started.

Email previews now support iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max

You can now preview your emails on iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. This means you can spot and fix display issues on these models before your emails reach customers. And with a wider range of devices to test on, you can feel more confident in every send.

We’ll continue expanding device coverage as new models are released, helping you keep pace with your customers’ tech.

Try reviewing your next email on iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max to check everything looks good before you hit send.

This month’s questions:

"Our email tests are flaky. What are the most common causes, and how do we fix them?"

Great question! Email depends on things outside your app, such as SMTP servers and third-party providers, so small delays or configuration mismatches can cause flaky tests. The usual fixes are:

  • Give every test its own inbox, so parallel runs never pick up the wrong email.
  • Let your test wait for the message to arrive rather than guessing a delay.
  • Clean up test data automatically, so stale data doesn’t lead to false test results.
  • Avoid shared Gmail-style inboxes, which make tests less accurate and less secure.

For more tips on keeping your email tests reliable and those flaky results at bay, take a look at our blog, Top tips for email testing in CI/CD pipelines.

"We test with copies of real customer data. Is that a problem?"

Often, yes. Copied customer data can include real email addresses and phone numbers, meaning test messages could reach real customers or expose personal information. This can create data protection risks, particularly under regulations like GDPR.

Instead, make sure you:

  • Use test contact details and anonymize any other personal data.
  • Keep test messages separate by routing them to controlled inboxes, not real customers.
  • Set clear data rules for what information can appear in tests and how long it’s kept.
  • Control access so only the right people can view messages, with an audit trail.

Until then, happy testing!
